While hair loss is nothing new, combine it with a global pandemic and you have it as a result of Covid complication.<\/p><p>Coronavirus infection causes severe fever and\/or fever-like symptoms, which is one of the most common symptoms of Covid. After a patient recovers from Covid fever, he or she notices severe hair fall.<\/p><p>Medically, this is not hair fall but hair shedding. It is called telogen effluvium. Typical your hair enters what is called a shedding phase (telogen) in their normal hair growth cycle. While normally it does so a few hairs at a time, an illness or fever (especially as severe as the one in Covid) forces more hair to enter the shedding phase.
